![]() The Mac version of Neat is not nearly as great as the Windows version. I got my Fujitsu S510M first and love it for large scanning projects and lots of pages such as my financial documents, however I did not like it for receipts so I bought the Neat mobile scanner at Sams Club with windows software and purchased the Mac version about a month later. I plan on using the Pro Office version of Devonthink for storing a lot of data and they always support easy scanning from the ScanSnaps. If I'm pleased with the S1500m and how it works with Neatworks I'll probably sell the Neat scanner.Īnother plus for the ScanSnap is he integration with Devonthink. ![]() Neat is an "ok" company that is slow as molasses in delivering software updates. I'd say that I probably still plan to get a ScanSnap. I'm waiting for their 2.5 version which has more Leopard support. The scanner works fine on the PC though it doesn't feel as robust as the ScanSnap S1500m. I have a NeatReceipts desktop scanner though I'm not using it on the Mac yet because I bought the windows version. I'll have things from the mail (standard paper size) to scan and digitize as well as receipts and some photos. I'm looking at a couple products and I'm not real sure about either, but I'd like to know what you all think. I don't expect to be 100% paperless, but I most importantly want to get a digital filing system in place. As the new year quickly approaches I'd like to get a start into the "paperless" world.
